We are deeply concerned about the sharp increase in the spread of COVID-19 infection and the fact that both the number admitted to hospitalcare and the number of deaths are rising rapidly, it is our view that Sweden must move to strategies of a similar nature to those that the rest of Europe is now using to reduce the spread of infection.

Therefore, in light of the fact that the measures implemented at this time to limit the spread of the infection are, in our assessment, not sufficient we would like to present the following appeal for more powerful measures to the Government and the Public Health Agency:

* Introduce further restrictions in the form of business closures.

* The limit for how many people can meet should be lowered to a maximum of ten people.

* We must put aside the myth that face masks do not reduce the spread of infection. The scientific evidence today is overwhelming.

* Test, trace and isolate those that have been in contact with someone infected with the virus.

If we do it voluntarily now, we can save many lives. The alternative is to wait until more people have become seriously ill or have died and then still be forced to implement a change.
